In 1996 Gerald Whipple, founder and President of Solar Unlimited pursued his dream to live on solar power and the result was his own 100% off-grid passive solar home.  Gerald soon realized he was not alone in his quest to be financially free from the continuously rising costs of utilities and from his dependence on our dwindling natural resources.

Tom Willsey became involved in Solar Unlimited after we built and supplied power for his home in 2003.  His home was the first solar powered home featured on the "Iron County Parade of Homes in 2003".  Tom is our service technician with a background in electronics working in hospitals for 30 years and is a Xantrex Authorized Service Technician.

Solar Unlimited -- We built our own 100% off-grid solar powered building in 2006.  The first off-grid commercial building in Southern Utah.  We invite you to come visit us and see a working solar system.  We love to educate everyone about solar power.
