My name is Dave Schrum
and I operate Utah Windmill Interpretive Museum In St. George, UT. In
March of 2006, I started looking for someone to install a solar electric
system at my home and museum. I found Solar Unlimited’s name in the “Home
Power” magazine, a national Who’s Who in the solar business. I am glad I
made the decision to use them for the following reasons:
1) Personable staff,

keep me up to date on status of my order, install dates and times.

and advise me of all pros and cons of all the aspects of the equipment &

of contacts and respect from other solar contractors.
8) They did such an
impressive job at my business anyone is welcome to visit and talk with me.
9) Both owners have
lived off grid for 10 plus years, so they know there business and so do
their wives.
10) I consider them all
good friends now and I would gladly recommend them to all.

We are very happy with
using the Solar as a Primary/Backup service to Utah Power. It has cut
our electric bills in half and with a 4000sf house, they were getting high.
In another way that it pays for itself is that when Utah Power fails, we
still have service (which happens quite a lot!!!) What I love best about
the system is that I don't have to do anything! It takes care of itself!!
(Ok, twice a year I have to move one screw to change the panels to the angle
of the sun) Installation was smooth and within hours we were up and
running. Gerald was a great educator and walked us through everything.

The Bar 10 Ranch is a
guest ranch located in one of the most remote areas of the United States on
the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. For the past 30 years we have relied on
some type of solar/battery/inverter systems. The systems we used were poorly
designed and difficult to maintain. We always fell short of the projected
useful life of the system. The hardest part was to find a local company with
commercial grade products that could design, install, and maintain the
system.
From the first conversation with Solar Unlimited I knew I had found what I
was looking for. Gerald came to the ranch the same day that I called him,
which is no small task, in that it is nearly 100 miles of dirt road. The
very next morning he had the most comprehensive and professional bid that I
had ever received from a solar dealer. Which again was no small task
considering that he didn’t make it back to town until well after dark.
The system was installed on schedule and exceeded my expectations. I am very
pleased with the product that Gerald and Tom used and with the judgment of
the size of the system. I was impressed with their knowledge of what I
needed for my commercial application. To date we haven’t had any problems
with our system and we are saving nearly $100.00 per day in diesel fuel. We
figure that our system will pay for itself in three years.
The support after the installation has been excellent. Besides a 24 hour
hotline for technical support Solar Unlimited provided us with a data entry
log to track our power activity. Each month we provide that information to
Solar Unlimited then they help us to fine tune the system. The first month I
forgot to get the information to them and was pleasantly surprised when they
actually called me for the information. It proved to me that they hadn’t
forgotten me after the sale.
I would recommend Solar Unlimited to everyone. This is the first solar
system that is actually saving me money. They have proven to me that they do
what they say and have exceeded my expectations from the beginning to the
end. We expect to use Solar Unlimited for all of our renewable energy needs.
